Rattlesnake Point Climbing Journey |
Rattlesnake point is a Canadian climbing mecca located almost right in our backyard. The point is just west of Toronto near Milton. This area offers an ideal rock climbing playground. This section of the Canadian shield provides a multitude of climbs from beginner routes to routes to challenge the most advanced climbers within meters of each other.
A week here offers opportunities to comfortably work on techniques and be challenged to attempt more strenuous routes. For participants who really desire to push themselves, this week also is an opportunity to learn how to set-up top ropes and to second and even lead climb. The area has a wonderful community feeling because all participants can enjoy one another's company while working on skills at their own level due to the close proximity of such a variety of routes.
Proságo set's up camp in the park and in addition to climbing on the escarpment opportunities exist nearby to explore some caving systems as well as Niagra Glen, a fun and unique bouldering area south of Rattlesnake Point.
